Everything you need to know about attending Jamaica Carnival (SAVE + SHARE this post): Your favorite traveling mamas are back at it again!!! Both of us are Jamaican🇯🇲, so you KNOW we had the best time jumping on the road! Here’s what you should know about this yearly event! 1. Carnival in Jamaica is held a week after Easter so it can fall in March or April, this year it was held on April 16th. 2. The road march takes place in Kingston but there are also Carnival events in Ocho Rios leading up to road march. 3. The bands you can play mas with include GenXS Jamaica (who we played with), Xodus and Yard Mas. Personally do not recommend Xodus at all 👀👀 but there are people who are loyal to them. 4. While playing mas is a one day event in Jamaica there are plenty of fetes to attend the days before.
