The white Camaro is so mangled that just the front tires appear intact, its rear end nearly unrecognizable as a vehicle.
The twisted metal is all that remains of the speeding car that crashed in eastern Iowa in July, killing the three teenagers inside.
And though it remains a painful reminder of their children's deaths, the parents of two of the teens have donated it to the iowa_dps to serve as a powerful testament to what can happen to those who seek the thrill of speed. The State Patrol plans to take it to the iowastatefair, schools and other events across the state.
Their donation comes at a time when speeding is killing an increasing number of Iowans.
