President Donald Trump toured Coosa Steel Corporation in Rome, Georgia, before making a speech on the economy. Rome is in the heart of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. It is the seat once held by Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned in January after publicly breaking with the president. The 14th District is deeply conservative and one of the most Republican districts in the state. Trump recently endorsed Clay Fuller, a district attorney who prosecutes crimes across four counties. Fuller has called the endorsement “rocket fuel” for his campaign.
