Scaling to $5M? Do the rep math first.
You don’t scale revenue.
You scale production capacity.
If you’re at $1M and want to hit $5M in 12 months, that’s a $4M gap.
Let’s say your average rep has a $500K annual quota.
That means you need 8 fully producing reps just to cover the difference.
And that’s assuming they all hit the minimum.
Now layer in reality: it can take 30–40 hours of recruiting work to land one solid rep. That doesn’t include onboarding, training, ramp time, or management.
Scaling becomes a volume and execution game fast.
The mistake most owners make?
They set a revenue target without reverse-engineering the headcount and time required to support it.
Do this today:
Take your revenue goal. Subtract current revenue. Divide by realistic per-rep production. That’s your hiring number.
Now ask yourself — do you have the infrastructure to support that many reps?
We break this down every week in our free webinar (Thursdays at 11am MST / 1pm EST). Schedule here: https:...
