burnout as a young professional and ESPECIALLY as a creative is very real. I spent a long time riding the emotional rollercoaster of working myself to the ground and facing the consequences. over the years I’ve built an awareness and relationship with burnout that keeps me from reaching the point of no return. the key is to identify the symptoms of burnout early and stop it in its tracks. identify the activities where you feel the most relaxed, at peace, supported, and inspired. when you feel yourself start to slow down, stop everything and make time for yourself. you MUST prioritize your well being in order to show up at your best! it’s not possible to pour from an empty cup. everybody is different, but here’s a few things you try when you start to feel burnout setting in and need to get your mind off of work: - schedule an activity with friends - go for a walk or picnic outside - journal for 30 minutes about the good things happening in your life (non work related) - cook your f...
