BREAKING: Trump just got caught pushing a bizarre and easily disproven lie — and this time it involved insulting our own allies.
After a U.S. sailor fell ill aboard a nuclear submarine near Greenland, it wasn’t America that stepped in first. It was Denmark. Danish military personnel treated and helped the American service member — exactly what allies are supposed to do.
Instead of thanking them, Trump posted that he was sending the hospital ship USNS Mercy to Greenland because people there were “not being taken care of.”
There’s just one problem.
That never happened.
Both U.S. Navy hospital ships — USNS Mercy and USNS Comfort — are currently in drydock undergoing maintenance. They weren’t deployed. They couldn’t be deployed. The claim simply wasn’t real.
