Riverwood International Charter School Senior Walter Evans has committed to play football at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. He was recruited as a running back for the Yellow Jackets, who compete in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Evans played Varsity Football at Riverwood for two years. During his senior season, he amassed 1,010 rushing yards and 1,141 all-purpose yards. Evans served as Team Captain his senior year and was selected as a First-Team All-Region player for Region 4-6A. During his junior year, Evans helped lead the Raiders to a 9-2 record, securing the 2021 Region Championship (the school’s second in three years).
