Last June, Dr.Willie Underwood III , was elected the third Black person in history as President of the American Medical Association (AMA) , and in June 2026, he will officially start his new role. 📍He follows in the footsteps of Dr. Lonnie Bristow, who was elected the first Black President of the AMA in 1995. Bristow attended Morehouse College for two years, before leaving for the Navy.
