I’m frequently shocked at the apathy people have toward nature. Somehow it doesn’t matter or it only matters if it can be used for cash. I’m sure the experience of sharing excitement about some amazing little creature with someone and being met with “ok….?” is not a unique experience to me. I don’t expect everyone to have the same level of enthusiasm but everyone should have some interest in nature at *minimum* because we are a part of it and damage to our ecosystems damages us, too. I’m not a humanity hater, something which is understandably a common sentiment among nature lovers.
