Happy #sustainabilitysunday 🥳 Mike and Helena here to talk about our favorite topic this time of year… snowmaking!! With the temps dropping this time of year, our snowmaking team is working around the clock to get you all out on the hill ASAP. While snowmaking is a very water intensive process, about 80% of the water used during our snowmaking season at the basin returns to the ecosystem in the form of runoff at the end of the winter, with the remaining 20% being lost to environmental factors such as evaporation. The less obvious but larger impact we see from snowmaking is energy usage, which we will dive into for our next video. In the meantime, we will see you out on the hill 😉 📹: herb.media
