Come with the Asiyah Center into the NYC blizzard tonight to get women and children experiencing domestic violence and homelessness off of the streets and into the safety of our shelter. We are currently responding to several emergency cases of women who are being thrown out of their homes and into a blizzard. Today we’ve already received several calls of women who are at mosques, hospital rooms, police stations, and subway stations who are in urgent need for safety. Our Center will continue to respond to these urgent cases and step up as emergency first responders to ensure our community is safe. We will share more details about the heart wrenching cases we’re responding to when it is safe to do so. While we step up this Ramadan, we need the community to urgently donate to help us shelter women and children in need - especially during this blizzard.
