Pulitzer-prize winning art critic Jerry Saltz says most of AI art is “crap.” He believes AI will be able to make art in the future, but it has a long way to go. Then again, Saltz adds, “90% of the art made during the Renaissance was also crap. Things take time.” He compares “Unsupervised,” an AI-created installation, to looking at a giant lava lamp that “you can’t take your eyes off of”, and says it puts people in a “stupor.” #artcritic #aiart #aiartwork
