Heading into its second series of the season, Cal faced a well-respected squad down in Southern California. The Bears battled against UC Irvine in what looked to be a big test for the young and tairly new roster. Cal proved it can be a dangerous team to play, winning two of its three games at Anteater Stadium over the weekend. This marked the Bears’ first series win and Irvine’s first two losses of 2026. The Bears did not get off to a strong start, dropping the first game of the weekend 5-3.
