Stars landed in London this weekend for the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards. Even as the awards delivered some unexpected wins, a few familiar faces—Jessie Buckley and director Paul Thomas Anderson among them—once again prevailed in their categories, further cementing their frontrunner status at the upcoming Oscars. The show also highlighted an increasingly wide-open race in the supporting actor categories, while solidifying Warner Brothers as this awards season’s most dominant studio, with ‘One Battle After Another’ and ‘Sinners’ yet again taking home many of the top prizes. Next weekend, the race heads back to Los Angeles for the Actor Awards, formerly the SAG Awards, on March 1, followed by the Oscars on March 15.
