Preseason training should not look the same as offseason training.
In the offseason, our goal is to build — more strength, more muscle, more force production. That phase requires heavier lifting, more volume, and more stress so the body can adapt.
Preseason training should help athletes feel fast, reactive, and sharp. The goal is to:
✅ Maintain strength
✅ Shift the focus to speed, stiffness, and game-transfer qualities
✅Minimize unnecessary soreness or fatigue.
Our lifts during this time will focus on more explosive movements and less eccentric strength work. For example, we love the overcoming ISO to fire the nervous system without the fatigue/soreness that would come from power work that involves eccentric loading (repeat weighted jumps).
