#BLPAngels 🕊️ The basketball world is mourning the loss of former WNBA standout Kara Braxton, who passed away at 43. A fierce forward, she played 10 seasons in the league with the Detroit Shock, Tulsa Shock, Phoenix Mercury, and New York Liberty. A standout at the University of Georgia, she earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2002 and later became a WNBA All-Star in 2007. Braxton captured two championships, including the 2008 title with the Detroit Shock, and celebrated her team’s success with a visit to the White House, where she met Barack Obama. She leaves behind her husband, Jarvis Jackson, her two sons, Jelani Thurman and Jream Jackson, and her twin sister, Kim.
