A standout at the University of Georgia, she earned SEC Freshman of the Year honors in 2002 and later became a WNBA All-Star in 2007. Braxton captured two championships, including the 2008 title with the Detroit Shock, and celebrated her teamβs success with a visit to the White House, where she met Barack Obama.
She leaves behind her husband, Jarvis Jackson, her two sons, Jelani Thurman and Jream Jackson, and her twin sister, Kim. Tributes continue to pour in, honoring her legacy as both a champion on the court and a devoted mother whose sons were her pride and joy. ποΈπ
