Here comes the emperor of chonk! Long may they reign. 🦛 👑 The Center and allies recently petitioned the usfws to protect #hippos under the Endangered Species Act. Safeguards can’t come soon enough; due to habitat loss, poaching and more, these tiny eared, chonky reared animals are on the path to #extinction. Reducing U.S. demand for hippo parts and increasing our conservation efforts are critical to keeping hippos alive and thriving.
