Bombax (Kapok) tree in bloom at mfastpete ❤️ The Bombax tree at the Museum of Fine Arts is in peak bloom. Covered in stunning red flowers, it’s an annual sign of Spring here in St. Pete and we always look forward to enjoying it. FROM THE MUSEUM “The Bombax tree on our South lawn was planted by the Museum’s first Director, Rexford Stead (1923-1983).
