MARIA GRAZIA CHIURI: THE ROMAN HOMECOMING.
Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut at Fendi is a sophisticated return to her roots, trading radical reinvention for a poetic celebration of Roman heritage. Drawing inspiration from the inscriptions of Trajan’s Column, Chiuri leans into the maison’s DNA with a collection that balances archival loyalty with modern wearability.
Fendi’s signature yellow provides a sharp editorial punch across accessories, while the designer’s trademark feminist slogans—most notably the “No” tees—offer a vocal, contemporary edge.
The aesthetic is defined by plush faux fur detailing on collars and architectural heels, paired with the season’s definitive silhouette: heels worn with socks.
Much like her tenure at Dior, this is a masterclass in the “woman designing for women” ethos. By refining established silhouettes rather than reinventing the wheel, Chiuri delivers a commercially astute debut that feels both nostalgic and essential.
