The 2026 id2 National Training Camp concluded this past weekend in California. This opportunity was invite only to the top girls and boys players born in 2012. Participants were chosen from thousands of scouted players at various local and regional scouting at events like Player Development Programs (PDP); events within the NPL, ECNL Regional League and ECNL; targeted showcases; and more. On the boys side, 102 players participated, representing 63 clubs and 25 states. For the 102 girls that competed, they hailed from 56 clubs and 22 states. Athletes were challenged on and off the field, competing in field sessions at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center and learning from various presentations in a classroom setting. The id2 National Training Camp featured an exciting new format with players placed in teams based on their region to compete amongst and against each other.
