Telling the story of a song that is not in your native language is difficult. We spent so much time dissecting the meaning of this song, creating our own meaning for the dance, and working together to portray the story. “Maman” is a love letter to moms, the people we look up to, and of course our senior Paige. It’s a story of empowerment, growth, and self discovery.
