Interactions presented by relatives and friends revealed a growing relationship strain and financial struggles between the Vilardi and Scott families, leading up to a horrific quadruple murder on Nov. 1, 2015. The court heard from three people on Tuesday who were close to both the Vilardis and the Scotts around the time Amy Vilardi's mother, Cathy Scott; Cathy's husband, Michael "Mike" Scott, and their elderly mothers, Violet Taylor and Barbara Scott, were found dead in their home on Refuge Road. The court also heard from the Vilardis' landlord, sorting through property records, and several investigators with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office who presented footage and documents from the crime scene and the days following its discovery.
