As we continue our Black History Month celebration, we honor scholars who are shaping the future of our communities through research, advocacy, and impact. Kobe Abney, C’2021, is a PhD candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, where her doctoral research centers on Black maternal health. Her thesis examines systemic healthcare disparities impacting Black women and advances evidence-based solutions, policy reform, and equity in maternal care.
