We have failed. Adam and Eve had failed. Every human being has fallen into the devil's temptations. We have all sinned. But the story's not about us. It's about Jesus. Jesus succeeded. He resisted the devil's temptations and took our sins onto himself on the cross. Jesus wins! And because he wins, we win with him. He's our champion.
