Substance use disorders in pregnancy was probably my favorite elective of fourth year; I loved following these patients journeys (& meeting their babies after delivery) and getting to work so closely with the amazing social workers and badass Obgyn’s & peer recovery coaches. There was zero judgment coming from all providers, and for the first time I finally felt like this was how Medicine is meant to be practiced!!
