When you only get 12 golden weekends off over the year you make them count ⚡️ residency is hard asf and burnout will eat you alive if you don’t prioritize taking care of yourself first. Even as a doctor you can’t pour from an empty cup!! Festivals allow me to totally let go of the stress of working in healthcare and put myself into another reality for a few days to recharge. there is just something so therapeutic about connecting with other humans through music and dance and expressing yourself through edgy fashion without a care in the world 🥹 I still get to read up on the latest literature as things come up on rounds during the work week and my class is hoping to start a journal club this summer :) so it’s not like all my learning is going out the window when I hit a festivals every 2 months as the haters would make it seem What do you guys love most about festivals!
