Sometimes I do wonder if I’m being too bold, but then I remember that if nobody tries to make change than change never happens, and it’s about time the systems we work for stop pushing purity culture & slut shaming into our personal lives under the guise of professionalism. . Yes I do dress in edgy, yet festival-appropriate outfits when I go to festivals, but that should not make me any less respectable as a physician at work. Plus the money I make from posting to social media is literally paying for my medical education and allowing me to focus on my studies and be the best doctor I can be rather than stress about being $300k in debt. . You know what’s way more unprofessional than dancing to EDM in a mini skirt? Doctors who are rude, judgmental, and dismissive of patients, which is exactly what I try to stand against by upholding PLUR values 🫶🏼✌🏼 . So appreciate everybody coming to my defense 🩷 .
