Charlie Munger handed $88M of his own family money to one investor. Only one. In his entire life. That investor was Li Lu, later called the “Chinese Warren Buffett.” Munger met him in 2003. In 2004, he wired $88M to Li’s fund. By 2023, it had grown roughly 4–5x. Munger called it “unholy good returns.” Li bought Kweichow Moutai at 4–5x earnings. He invested in BYD in 2002 before Berkshire bought in. BYD later became the world’s largest EV maker by sales. Munger didn’t bet on trends. He bet on judgment. And he let it compound. #CharlieMunger #LiLu #ValueInvesting #BYD #WarrenBuffett
