Miriam Mattova, former Miss Slovakia, current international model/scholar, and proud Jewish advocate, recently joined our Grade 12’s in the Hennick Family Atrium to share her unfortunate antisemitic experience. In the fall of 2025, Miriam made headlines for being removed from an Uber in Toronto because she was Jewish. She talked about what happened, the legal action that followed, and why standing proudly for the Jewish people and Israel is more important now than ever.
