Jeanne Hengemuhle started her new position as the Acting Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police on Thursday marking a historic first for the law enforcement department. Hengemuhle is now the first woman to ever lead NJSP after Gov. Mikie Sherrill nominated the Bergen County native to the position.
