An Arizona lawmaker is proposing legislation that would make “excessive” marijuana smoke and odor a a public nuisance. Senate Bill 1725 would expand state laws to classify excessive marijuana smoke or odor as a public nuisance. Under the proposal, residents who encounter what they consider to be excessive marijuana smoke or odor near their homes, apartments or other properties could gather evidence and contact police. Anyone found to create a public nuisance through marijuana smoke or odor would face a $750 fine.
