Electron microscopes allow us to see the miniature world inside our cells up close (like making a pin head larger than a football field!). To better understand how the individual parts of cells and tissues work together, we need to see that in 3D.  Kirk Czymmek and team are working on volume electron microscopy tools that allow us to examine whole cells or tissues up close so we can study how they interact and work together—and ultimately how they function. #microscopy #imaging #AdvancedMicroscopy #science #CellBiology #ElectronMicroscopy
