Imagine a city map, but instead of roads, you can see the routes cancer cells use to get nutrients. Using a combination of advanced imaging techniques, including CT and MRI scans, researchers are able to zoom in on these ‘cancer highways,’ understanding their layout within a living body. This approach is called multimodal imaging, which blends advanced microscopy images and preclinical imaging datasets to create a holistic picture of a tissue’s structure, function, movement and molecular composition—laying the groundwork for more targeted cancer treatments. Andreas Walter and team are training new generation of scientists to use this amazing technique. #MultimodalImaging #imaging #science #CancerBiology #cancer #biology
