They tell you to stay hopeful.

But they don’t tell you that once you’ve known that kind of heartbreak…you never take a pregnancy test lightly again.
We built our family in a way that rewrote me.
Adoption changed me.
It healed parts of me.
It gave me a motherhood I prayed for.
And then seven years later…
a miracle.
The kind you stop believing happens to you.
And now here we are again.
Wanting a third.
