“I still ski because I can’t stop.” This is what a legend looks like. As one of the first Black ski instructors certified in Colorado, Rodney Williams set out to make an impact where it matters, with much of that work unfolding at arapahoe_basin- a legend at #TheLegend He saw the lack of representation. He understood we are social creatures – we align with what we see. So, he worked to change what people see. Since founding the “Slippers & Sliders” kids ski program in the ‘70s, Rodney has brought underserved youth from the greater Denver area onto the mountain, creating access, growth, and belonging.
