When I shared that I was shooting the Super Bowl from the stands, I got a lot of mixed reactions from people when they saw my location (shared it in my stories that day). “How are you going to get anything good from up there?” Short answer? A canonusa 600mm lens, baby 😂 The reach, speed, and clarity of the RF 600mm f/4.0 IS USM is, in my opinion, unrivaled. Paired with the Canon R3, I felt like a totally different photographer. I’ve built a career on older gear and created work I’m really proud of on my 5D Mark IV and Mark III (and until 3 years ago I was on a Mark II and a 60D!) But having the opportunity to use this gear was a game changer, and I feel like it’s some of the best work I’ve ever done.
