As LGBTQ+ History Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what it means to truly belong. 🏳️🌈✨
We’re sharing a special message from Apostolos Ntertsas, our Corporate Events Officer and LGBTQ+ Staff Network Lead.
From the vibrant streets of east London to the inclusive spaces right here on campus, Apostolos reflects on how community and visibility have shaped his journey at UEL. He describes our local area as a “crossroads of cultures and identities” that helped him understand his queerness as something “lived and visible” rather than hidden.
At the University of East London, our commitment to diversity and inclusion isn’t just for one month, it’s part of our DNA.
Whether it is through our dedicated Office for Institutional Equity, our staff networks or our participation in Pride events every year, we are proud to be a place where you can be your authentic self.
