Your growth goal is lying to you. You say you want to go from $0–$5M in 3 years. Great. But have you done the math on what that actually requires? If one rep produces $250K per year, you need 20 reps to hit $5M. Let’s call it 25 to be safe. Now here’s where most owners get blindsided. If your retention rate is 25%, and you need 25 solid reps, you don’t need to hire 25. You need to hire 100. We walked a client through this exercise recently. He thought he needed “a few strong closers.” What he actually needed was a recruiting engine. This is the execution gap: revenue goals without headcount math. Do this today: Take your revenue target.
