Meet the newest residents of the Predator Building, all from Madagascar! We’ve welcomed a few new geckos to the family! 🦎🌿 Hexxus , our Giant Leaf-Tailed Gecko, is a rainforest camouflage expert. Not only does his skin look similar to the moss and lichen of his environment, but he can also flatten his body against tree bark to completely hide his outline, making him nearly impossible to spot! Next up, the Giant Day Gecko: bright, bold, and active during the day. They love feasting on insects and nectar in their rainforest home. And lastly, the Klemmer’s Day Gecko, native to Madagascar’s coastal bamboo forests. This species is endangered and known for storing calcium deposits behind the head, which helps females produce strong, healthy eggs.
