At the NAACP Image Awards Saturday night, Regina Hall shouted out “kings” Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo for their “classy” response to having a racial slur shouted at them at the BAFTAs last week. “I would like also to take a moment to the two kings who are in this audience and just send you so much love for your class,” Regina said, prompting the audience to give a standing ovation. At the BAFTA Awards on Feb 22, Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson shouted the slur while ‘Sinners’ stars Jordan and Lindo were presenting the first award of the evening together. There was further outrage when the BBC allowed the slur to be heard on the stream of the awards show, despite having a two-hour time delay during which they could have removed or bleeped it.
