Since the Plessy vs. Ferguson case was decided in 1896, the world has changed in so many ways. What I have learned from the many precedence’s that the ussupremecourt has set over the course of the last 100 years is simple. The highest court in the land can be wrong, and it can be biased! The way we make sure that we begin to rule out these biases and prejudices, is to make sure that we all vote in every election! Presidents put judges in their seats, and Governors and Mayors affect how you live everyday. Vote people into office that not only looks out for our best interests but for everyone that lives in this great country. My 18 year old son voted today for the first time and I had to remind him and my other sons how their ancestors died fighting for their rights. For every minority out there in America, we vote because we have been given a voice by someone who had their limb ripped off by a dog, got sprayed by a commercial grade water hose, or went to jail just for wanting equal rig...
