Snow place like the den 🐻‍❄️🤍 Beneath the snow, polar bear moms across the Arctic and their tiny cubs are tucked away in winter dens. This period, known as denning, is the most vulnerable time in a young polar bear’s life. With partners including polarbearsinternational, polarinstituttet, and UofT, we are studying denning polar bear families to understand their needs and how increasing human activities in the Arctic may affect them.
