For this month’s In the Mood, I chose mint. I cannot fully explain it, but I have been completely drawn to it lately. Maybe it is my current 90s nostalgia spiral. I have been watching Love Story on Hulu and I am fully in a minimalist 90s state of mind. Clean lines and tailored silhouettes. Is anyone else in a revival era right now?
Mint in interiors feels fresh, tailored, and optimistic. It brings lightness to a space without overpowering it. Unlike brighter greens, it has a softness that reads elevated rather than loud. I love it paired with warm woods, brushed brass, marble, and crisp white. It can lean traditional in chinoiserie or lacquered finishes, or feel modern when styled with clean lines and tonal layering.
