February 28th is National Floral Design Day! This day recognizes the art and history of floral design, which can be shown with bouquets, paintings, in textiles, gardens, and floral arrangements. For today, Howard letterpress printed an unmounted electrotype of a frame or border that that includes some floral designs from the Lewis Winter Collection. Because of its condition and that the cut was never mounted on a wood block to make it type high to print, this may be the first time this has been printed since Lewis Winter made it in the 1890s.
