This offseason Aidan Curry added +3.86 MPH to his top fastball and +2.08 MPH to his average, now touching 97.9.
During his offseason at VeloU, the early priority was clear:
Increase bodyweight. Increase strength. Increase power.
Aidan dedicated the first portion of his training economy to the weight room and it showed. Physical output improved, giving his delivery more to work with.
From a skill standpoint, the focus was braking and deceleration on the front leg and glove side. His rotational patterns were already elite. The goal wasn’t to change them, it was to make sure they were working through the target instead of leaking around it.
Anchor drills included:
• Water bag rotations
• Volleyball throws
• Turn & burns blended into mound work
Workload was undulated carefully, building volume and intent while managing recovery so he could push without losing consistency.
