Susan Kleckner helped shape feminist film and performance in the 1970s. Then she was largely written out of the canon. “Raw Material: The Art and Life of Susan Kleckner,” now on view at hcexhibits’s Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, is the first major retrospective of the pioneering artist and activist. Spanning four decades, the exhibition brings together film, photography, performance, and archival material that foregrounds her work with the Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp, her year-long storefront performance “Window Peace,” and landmark feminist films including “Three Lives” (1971).
