❄️🧤 Led by rutgerssasn Dr. Ramona Ross, students in her “Community Psychology” course put learning into action through a community-centered initiative supported by the Sheila Y. Oliver Center for Politics and Race in America cprarutgers “Classroom Enrichment Grant.” Through the grant, Dr. Ross enriched course material by supporting a Newark community initiative focused on assisting individuals who are unsheltered through cold-weather kits. Students collected and packed essential items, including hygiene products and cold-weather supplies. Nearly 100 kits were assembled during class and later distributed through the rutgers_pd “Winter Blessing Drive,” an annual effort that provides care items to individuals and families across Newark during the colder months. 💌 The grant also supported a second initiative in partnership with the Office of Community & Rutgers Engaged Science (CARES) rutgers_cares , distributing 56 new hoodies with handwritten notes of encouragement to CASA of Essex C...
