Last week, we had the honour of welcoming the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, and Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Gregor Robertson, for a site tour of the Vienna House project: a partnership between the City of Vancouver, BC Housing, Non-Market Housing Development, and More Than a Roof Housing Society. With its focus on mass timber, innovative prefabrication, and sustainable construction, Vienna House reflects a shared commitment to delivering housing in Canada at greater speed and scale. The project also served as the backdrop for the announcement of a landmark Build Canada Homes agreement with British Columbia, an important step toward accelerating affordable housing delivery across the province.
