My SHERO. In my junior year in high school, I happened to hear Shirley Chisholm speak. I was working as a model for The May Co. department store’s Teen Fashion Board. From backstage I heard her voice, I heard her words. I was captivated by her courage. I peeked through the curtains and there she was… I was mesmerized.
