Well I was Walkin’ In Iceland... When I travel I love to stop and take note of what’s under my feet and how it differs from place to place. I think it’s so cool to walk on so many different types of land in one country. Iceland was no different. From the rainbow road to volcanic ash, volcanic rocks, and volcanic sand there were so many colors! From snow to ice to heat to water, each day was filled with different terrain. Iceland is the land of fire and ice and looking down is one of the most fun ways to experience this parallel. I loved the black beaches and playing “the floor is (actual) lava”. I loved watching the geothermal steam ascend from the ground. I LOVED putting on microspikes and walking on a glacier! We climbed steps made of ice and stairs over a lava tunnel. We walked up hundreds of stairs to have an aerial view of a waterfall. We walked in the snow and walked in the rain, and no matter where we ended up it was simply gorgeous. My feet did well on this trip. ...
